Application
Rice
Broadcast the recommended quantity of granules uniformly over the standing crop. For best results, the field should have approximately 2–3 cm standing water, which should be maintained for 2–3 days after application.
Sugarcane
Apply the recommended granules according to the crop stage and registered label directions for early shoot borer/root borer management.
Mode of Action
Fipronil interferes with nerve impulse transmission by affecting GABA-regulated chloride channels in insects.
Fipronil exposure → Disruption of chloride-ion flow → Nervous-system disturbance → Feeding cessation → Paralysis → Insect death.
