About the Product
LAUDIS® provides highly effective post-emergence control of difficult weeds in maize.
The active ingredient Tembotrione inhibits the 4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate Dioxygenase (HPPD) enzyme responsible for carotenoid biosynthesis. Without carotenoids, chlorophyll becomes damaged by sunlight, causing susceptible weeds to bleach, stop growing, and eventually die.
Bayer's proven Bleacher Technology delivers rapid weed control while ensuring outstanding crop safety and minimal carry-over to succeeding crops.

Application Guidelines
Application Method
Apply as a post-emergence foliar spray using sufficient clean water to achieve uniform coverage of weeds.
For optimum performance, Bayer recommends using LAUDIS together with a surfactant (activator).
Recommended Dosage
- 286 ml per hectare (approximately 115 ml per acre)
- Water volume: 500 L/ha (approximately 200 L/acre)
- Use with surfactant @ 1000 ml/ha (approximately 400 ml/acre).
Best Application Stage
- Apply 12–15 days after sowing.
- Apply when weeds are at the 2–4 leaf stage.
- Best results are achieved when weeds are actively growing.
Mode of Action
Tembotrione inhibits the HPPD enzyme, preventing carotenoid synthesis in susceptible weeds.
Without carotenoids, chlorophyll cannot withstand sunlight, causing rapid bleaching of leaves, cessation of photosynthesis, and eventual death of weeds.
Visible bleaching symptoms generally appear within a few days after application.
